Brand Accessory/Merchandising Representative

Job Title: Brand Accessory/Merchandising Representative              EEO Classification: Sales

Position Summary: The Brand Accessory/Merchandising Representative acts as a point person for companies brand accessories line. From concept, to design, product sourcing, order, stock and to final sale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

  1. --Understands current trends, opportunities, assortment, competition and buyers vision by category of business and use this knowledge to properly categorize, merchandise and market product online.
  2. --Identifies unique, underdeveloped, emerging or new, products or categories, based on statistical analysis, competitive landscape, and customer feedback.
  3. --Researches trends and coordinates the purchase of promotional items; obtains quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensures that each area of the marketing department has sufficient supplies for marketing functions.
  4. --Coordinates ordering and stocking of accessory line; analyzes sales data and recommends items to stock, re-order, put on sale, or discontinue; communicates with both internal and external publics regarding store offerings; creates part numbers in M2M for all new items.
  5. --Works closely with various departments within the company to ensure that all consumer touch points and messaging are working and measured harmoniously.
  6. --Positions and presents products within the online store in ways that exceed expectations such as conversion, average order size, average order value, customer service demand and are additive to the overall brand positioning.
  7. --Executes on-going competitive analysis as well as recommended strategies and tactics to improve brand exposure.
  8. --Manages budget for accessories/merchandising; works with Marketing Manager to determine budget, and takes responsibility to control and allocate designated budget.
  9. --Works to continually optimize brand awareness through refreshment and revitalization of accessory store. 
  10. --Works closely to ensure that company promotional material stock is maintained and compliments merchandising initiatives.
  11. --Acts as main point of contact for customer and dealer requests for event or promotional item support. Effectively and efficiently manages those requests in an effort to provide promotional benefit for the company. 
  12. --Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all accessory product launches, marketing campaigns and other customer interaction.
  13. --Performs other inherent duties related to but not limited to the above.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • --BA in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising or equivalent
  • --3+ years’ experience in merchandising or eCommerce.
  • --Skydiving/Action Sports Brand Merchandising experience preferred.
  • --Knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft programs such as Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • --Experience with web analytics tools
  • --Strong understanding of e-Commerce software & ability to manage
  • --Proficient with MS Office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • --Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • --Flexible, proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • --Experience with Marketing Optimization/Automation programs and CRM programs

Physical Requirements:

  • --Finger, hand, and arm dexterity necessary for data entry and creation of reports.
  • --Visual acuity to perform all job functions.
  • --Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for communicating with all internal and external publics.
  • --Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds or more.
  • --Must be able to sit, stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time.
  • --Ability and desire to travel approximately 10% of the time, possibly including weekends and holidays.
