Dealer Relations Representative
Position Summary: Under limited supervision, position is responsible for coordinating and interfacing between Performance Designs (PD) and the Company’s Dealer Network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains customer relationships; meets with established dealers and new dealer prospects in person or via telephone to address issues and concerns.
Reviews and proactively identifies new dealer prospects; outlines PD policy and dealership program and assesses dealer prospects ability of representing PD according to Company’s established marketing protocol.
Meets with dealers and reviews dealer agreements for compliance with PD policy, legal requirements and industry concerns; assesses dealer’s capabilities of representing Performance Designs according to Company established preferences; forwards agreements to marketing manager for approval.
Develops and updates dealer educational program; meets with dealers to ensure their understanding of PD products and Company information.
Fosters open communication with dealers; visits, calls and/or emails regularly to keep dealers informed; produces and distribute dealer newsletters;
Develops and implements dealer surveys; gathers, analyzes and distributes internally relevant findings to marketing manager and marketing staff; performs regular reviews of dealer and region performance.
Manages dealer demo program; determines dealer qualifications and works with demo coordinator to make canopies available per agreed upon terms.
Performs other inherent duties related to but not limited to the above.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred; or equivalent education and work experience.
3 – 5 years Marketing/Customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Skydiving background required
Must be computer literate with experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Must be willing to travel within the United States and internationally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for communicating with all levels of Performance Designs, Inc. staff, customers, vendors, dealers, and media.
Must possess excellent text editing abilities, and a sound grammar foundation
Must be able to multitask and organize work in a time-effective manner
Finger, hand, and arm dexterity necessary for data entry and creation of reports.
Visual acuity required to prepare reports, agreements and to view computer terminal.
Must have legible handwriting to complete required documentation.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to sit, stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time.
Must possess basic fundamental financial knowledge and basic principles of budget management.
