Position Summary: Responsible for shipping and invoicing products to customers, receiving miscellaneous shipments and distributing them to appropriate personnel, keeping accurate records of transactions and inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains good working knowledge of, and follows all related SOP’s and Work Instructions.
Receives finished goods from Production, PMD, or Purchasing, and moves to stock inventory or ships to customer.
Responsible for accuracy of shipments and all associated documentation to include invoicing and/or cash transactions.
Responsible for maintaining accuracy of stock inventory.
Utilizes reports, spreadsheets, and other communication to assure items ready to ship are shipped on time and to the right destination.
Responsible for receiving and processing returned items.
Assists customer support in tracking and filing claims for any shipments that become lost.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow all work instructions and prescribed safety regulations.
Performs other inherent duties related, but not limited, to the above.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent required
3 – 5 years shipping/receiving experience required
Experience with basic accounting procedures preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in UPS and FED EX shipping and computer programs.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with all levels of Performance Designs, Inc., employees, customers, and vendors.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures and work instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals for the purpose of invoicing/accounting. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Required to read and write English and follow verbal instructions.
Must be able to handle stressful situations.
Finger, hand and arm dexterity necessary for data entry.
Visual acuity necessary to prepare reports, count change and to verify proper merchandise is being shipped and/or received
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stand for extended periods of time.
